Its a painting of Maligne Lake and represents the RMAT. It's a very special place.

LJL Galleries has always been grounded in curation.

As we continue to grow, that approach is beginning to extend beyond the gallery itself. Not as a shift away, but as a natural expansion.

Art is no longer experienced in a single place. It moves through environments, regions, and communities, shaping how people engage with it in different contexts.

This is where a broader direction begins to take form.

Rocky Mountain Art Tour (RMAT) is part of that evolution.

Rather than functioning as a traditional directory, RMAT is being developed as a more considered network; one that connects artists, spaces, and regions through a curated lens.

This extends beyond visual art to include craftmakers, independent creators, and chefs whose work reflects the character of their region.

Through aligned hospitality partners such as INNhotels, these local creative communities become part of a larger experience, offering guests a more connected way to engage with the places they are visiting.

The focus is not scale. It is alignment.

Each inclusion, each location, and each connection is intended to reflect a level of consistency and quality that supports both the artist and the experience around the work.

This approach allows art to exist beyond a single destination, while still maintaining the structure and integrity of curation.

As this continues to develop, RMAT will take shape as an extension of LJL Galleries’ engagement with artists and audiences across physical and digital environments.

More will be shared as this evolves.
